Post Production Producer Package

The Silentbay Post Production Producer package involves those tasks associated with post production supervision and combining them with our music supervision services.  This combination can result in cost savings for your project and improve efficiencies.  As an option, post production accounting support can be added to the package. 

Post Production Supervision

Project Management – Manage the completion and delivery process for your film or television project. The post production supervisor is a project manager that has the responsibility of finishing the project on time and on budget while satisfying the wants of the Producer, and/or Director and Studio. 

Deliverables - Other management tasks include managing delivery requirements for domestic and international distributors, legal clearances, licensing, preview screenings, color timing, and video mastering. This includes delivery of final elements and all required underlying rights documentation to distributor(s).

Packaging - The project manager may also put together the post production team (post production vendors) or assist project producers in doing so.  Negotiating service packages with vendors is typical. 

Music Supervision

For your film or television project, Silentbay suggests ideas, performs research, arranges budgets for music requirements.  This may include obtaining rights, clearances and licensing to source music for film and television.  Silentbay negotiates deal points and prepares contracts (for final review by the legal team). We produce the music cue sheet for final delivery, ensuring that the duration of the music used conforms to the terms of the negotiated contract.

As part of the music supervision process, Silentbay is inlvolved in managing spotting sessions (where the Director wants music, and why), suggesting composers, recruiting and contracting musicians, booking recording studios and attending sessions to ensure that delivery requirements are fulfilled. We also oversee the compositional process, ensuring that the required music is being written, listened to, and reported upon. 

Post Production Accounting (Option)

Finances must still be calculated, managed, and maintained along with financial records during the post production phase of your project. As an option, Silentbay can work with you to control and manage cash flow to ensure that payments are made on time, and in accordance with agreements and approved budgets.  Furthermore, we can also prepare the appropriate documentation for tax, legal, insurance, and guild reporting and finalize all financial records for the production.
